Home » South Lake Tahoe CA » Day 6 in South Lake Tahoe: Went hiking on the Cascade Falls Trails
We drove out to Cascade Falls for a hike. This hike was definatly worth it. it’s a 2 hour loop, it gets a little rocky on the way up, but it’s not a hard hike, it’s just rocky terrain, which makes it fun.
After we finished the hike, we stopped at Tallac Historical Museum on the way back. I’m glad we stopped. You wouldn’t know it but there is a bar and grill. It’s called the Beacon Bar & Grill. Perfect for hungry hikers. This was a very cool site to visit and walk around. It is a cultural festival center during the summer season.
If you are hungry while there you can walk down to the lake shore and go to the Beacon Bar & Grill right off the pier there. We didn’t eat there because we had other plans but next time we go there it will be on our to do list. The thing is there is so much to do and see that you have to plan some things for your next trip. It’s to decide what to do in the moment but at least we now know and can plan ahead.
Once again we stopped at our favorite coffee shop Alpina Cafe to get some coffee.
For dinner we decided to go to the Sage Room on the 19th floor at Harveys Cesar’s Palace. This was a fine dining restaurant with a view of the lake. Plan ahead and make reservations. The weekends get extremely busy and it is difficult to get in. This is a nice posh place very pricey but the food and experience was well worth it. Plus it was our anniversary so done and done!
