Home » South Lake Tahoe CA » Day 7 in South Lake Tahoe: Went hiking on the DL Bliss & Rubicon Trails
Sadly we were on our last day of the trip, but we ended up going to the best hiking trail of the trip on our last day. It was called the DL Bliss Park, Rubicon Trail / Lighthouse Trail. This was certainly the best day of the whole trip. The loop was 2 hour hike. Parking was tricky but it was worth it to walk a little extra to get there. You guessed it we stopped at Alpina Cafe on the way back. Trust me it’s better than Starbucks. Need to change it up a bit. After the hike we went to dinner at Base Camp Pizza. Make sure you get their Bloody Orange Jalapeno margarita.
That was the end of our trip. We kept it simple budget friendly and everything we did was no more than 20-30 minutes away from the resort. We had a blast. We hope this help you plan your trip to Lake Tahoe. There are other activities like parasailing and water sports but we opted out, and chose to go site seeing instead. The water was too cold in October, and yes we did finally stop and ate at Mel’s Diner in Placerville on our way down.
